Who we are

Behind Barfuß am Atlantik there is no agency and no property manager — just one family. We rent out three holiday homes in Euronat ourselves, as the private owners, standing side by side in the Afrique village. We’re from Germany, and we know the resort not from a brochure but from our own time on site — some of us for many years.

Egypte 9 East is looked after by Heiko and Janine, who travel with a dog themselves; Egypte 9 West by Thomas and Gerda, Egypte 7 East by Paul and Christin. Three houses, one family.

So when you rent from us, you deal directly with the owners: no hotline, no middleman — just someone who knows the good restaurants, the most beautiful spots beyond Euronat, and when the quiet weeks are.

What booking direct means

Renting privately in Euronat means booking directly with us — with the family itself, no detour. It’s straightforward, and above all it means one thing: our attention and our resources go straight into your stay.

In practice, that comes down to three things.

First, a lot goes into the houses themselves. A new mattress, servicing the air conditioning, a fresh coat of paint on the terrace — we look after the house you’ll be living in ourselves, and keep it in shape.

Second, you write directly to us. Your enquiry lands with the people who know the house. A question about getting here, the beach, the equipment? You get a real answer, often the same day.

Third, individual arrangements are possible. A later arrival, the dog that’s coming along, two houses side by side for the whole family — we’ll find a solution together.

Booking direct simply means being closer and more personal — with someone who has your whole stay in view, from first enquiry to departure.

How it works

Renting a holiday home in Euronat privately is straightforward with us — from first contact to arrival it’s a few clear steps, all directly between you and us.

1. Enquiry — You write to us via the contact form: which house, which dates. Arrival day is always Sunday, the minimum stay one week.
2. Reply — We check availability and get back to you personally, usually the same or the next day, with the price and answers to your questions.
3. Reservation — If everything fits, we hold your dates. That rules out any double booking.
4. Contract — You receive a written rental contract with all the key details in black and white: house, dates, price and terms — clear and easy to follow.
5. Deposit — A deposit confirms the booking, and the balance is due before arrival. The exact schedule is set out in the contract.
6. Your stay — Before you travel, we send you everything practical: keys, directions and tips for your time on site. Then all that’s left is to arrive — and walk barefoot along the Atlantic.

Trust & peace of mind

A holiday booking is a matter of trust — all the more so when it runs directly between you and us. That’s why everything with us is put in writing.

Every booking is confirmed by a written rental contract with clear, fair terms — you know the total price from the start. Once reserved, your dates are firmly blocked, our availability calendar rules out double bookings, and both deposit and balance are set out in the contract.

Within the family, Heiko takes care of bookings and contracts, while Thomas is closer to things on the ground. So if anything ever needs sorting, you don’t just reach us directly — we also know a local tradesman or two who can help quickly.

Our three houses

Our three houses sit right next to each other in the Afrique village — each cosy in its own right, all just a few minutes from the Atlantic beach.

• Egypte 9 West is the compact one: 42 m² with a wrap-around terrace and a covered outdoor kitchen, quietly placed at the end of the cul-de-sac — lovely for couples and small families.
• Egypte 9 East offers a little more space inside at 50 m², in an equally quiet spot.
• Egypte 7 East is the most spacious at 75 m²: conservatory, separate utility room and a well-kept garden — ideal for families.

Because all three sit side by side, they can also be combined — plenty of room for the whole extended family or a group of friends.
